While we are told that voting is a right for American citizens, it has become much more difficult to exercise that right. As the editorial points out, long poll lines and illegal voter purges have kept many people from voting in past elections. I am now hearing people talk about how they want to vote in person to ensure that their vote is counted even if it is higher risk. Voter suppression is surely hard at work in the 2020 election, and we need to be prepared. Properly trained and masked, they should be able to do a creditable job at election sign-in tables.
